Getting started
From zero to your first notification received on the phone.
1. Create your account and your company
Sign up at app.pushtifly.com, verify your email and create your company. You start with a 14-day free trial.
2. Create the app
In the company, Apps → New app. The wizard asks for the name, the framework (pick it from the buttons) and the platforms (Android, iOS, Web). The Android package (com.yourcompany.app) and the iOS bundle id must match your app's.
The app page always shows the integration status (traffic light): what's missing and how to fix it.
3. Upload the credentials
- Android (and iOS if your app uses Firebase for iOS): the Firebase service account. See Firebase credentials.
- iOS directly with Apple: the
.p8key (recommended) or the.p12certificate. See Apple .p8 key.
Pushtifly validates each credential against Google or Apple when you upload it and warns you before it expires.
4. Create the API keys
In API keys create:
- a public one (
pk_test_…) for the app, and - a secret one (
sk_test_…) for your server.
Start in test mode: with test keys, sends only reach your test devices. When you're ready, create the live keys. See Authentication and keys.
5. Register a device from your app
Follow your framework's guide. In every case the app gets the push token and registers it:
curl -X POST https://api.pushtifly.com/v1/devices \
-H "Authorization: Bearer pk_test_YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"token":"DEVICE_TOKEN","platform":"android","language":"en","timezone":"America/New_York"}'
You'll see it in the panel, under Devices, within seconds.
6. Mark it as a test device
In Devices, mark it as a test device, or use a pairing code: the panel shows a 6-digit code and the app sends it to POST /v1/devices/{token}/pair.
7. Send your first notification
From the panel: New send in the app, or the Test console to see Google's or Apple's exact response. From your server:
curl -X POST https://api.pushtifly.com/v1/notifications \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk_test_YOUR_SECRET_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"target":{"type":"test_devices"},"content":{"en":{"title":"Hello","body":"My first notification"}}}'
The response is 202 with the send's id: it's delivered in the background and you see the result in History.
