Passkeys
Sign in to the panel without a password, using your device's fingerprint, face or PIN.
A passkey replaces the password with your device's unlock: fingerprint, face, PIN or a security key. It's bound to the Pushtifly panel, so a fake site can't use it, and Pushtifly only stores its public part.
Passkeys from iCloud, Google or a password manager sync across your devices; in the list they show up as Synced.
Add a passkey
- Go to My account → Security → Passkeys.
- Type a name to recognize it (for example "MacBook") or keep the browser's.
- Click Add passkey. We ask you to confirm your identity and then the browser asks you to unlock the device.
We email you every time a passkey is added. You can have up to 10.
On the sign-in screen, click Sign in with a passkey and choose the passkey. You don't need to type your email or password, and you're not asked for the two-step verification code: the passkey already proves you have the device and unlocked it.
With two-step verification
If you sign in with a password (or with Google or Apple) and have two-step verification on, you can answer it with Use a passkey instead of the authenticator code.
Passkeys don't replace two-step verification: if your company requires it, you still need to turn it on. That way, if you lose all your devices, you can still sign in with your password and your code.
Confirm your identity
Before sensitive actions (creating API keys, changing credentials, etc.) the panel asks you to confirm your identity. If you have passkeys, you can do it with Use passkey.
Rename or delete
In the passkey list, Rename changes the name and Delete removes it (it asks you to confirm your identity). If your account has no password and no linked Google or Apple, you can't delete the last passkey.
Browsers
They work in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on computers and phones. If the browser doesn't support them, the section says so.
